"Steve Barnett, Tim Clark and Steve Godsey are Feature Winners"

Steve Barnett of Franklin, IN took home his first win of the season at Brownstown Speedway, and his second overall for the year on Saturday night.

Barnett would start the 25 lap main event from the pole, and would lead the first circuit. Mark Barber would fall into the second position with Josh Williams in third. Behind Williams a battle for the fourth position would brew between Dan Sturgeon and CJ Rayburn. Sturgeon would get around Rayburn for the spot. At this point the field started to fan out a bit, with Barber doing all he could to reel in Barnett. The first caution of the race flew on lap 12 for Devin Sebree in turn number two. On the restart, Brad Erwin made a bold pass on Scott Graham, Doug Ault, and Rayburn, getting around all three for the fifth position. Up at the point, Barber used the high groove, and was door to door with Barnett. The duo ran a couple of laps side by side until the caution flew for Mark Kinser, Gary Hardin, and Brian Wilhite. As Barnett took the green for the restart, Brad Barrow would move into the top five with a pass on Erwin. The field would spread out once more, this time with Barnett pulling away from Barber. Barnett would cruise to victory in his JD Byrider, Tony Stewart Racing, Spears Auto Parts, Rayburn Chassis #20 followed by Barber, Williams, Sturgeon, and Barrow would round out the top five.

Tim Clark of North Vernon, IN took the lead with just two laps to go in the Super Stock feature at Brownstown Speedway, and held on for his first win of the season.

The field would be brought to the green by Winston Howe, but David Brewer would fly up from his third starting spot to take the lead before the first lap was finished. Troy Clark would also move up past Howe, and proceeded to take the lead away from Brewer. Brewer now had to contend with Jim Ruddick who was now up to third. Ruddick got around Brewer for the second position, bringing Jeremy Hines with him around Brewer. All of this action was happening all before the third lap was complete. The first caution of the race was brought out for Tyler Cain who had spun in turn two. Cain would bring out the caution once more on the restart, causing him to be sent to the pits for the two spin rule. The field would make one lap under green before the yellow flew for Kevin Jones in turn four. When the green flew for the restart, it was still Troy Clark at the point. Behind him, Tim Clark got around Howe and Brewer for the third position. The car on the move at this point was Terrence Johnson who started 13th and was running sixth. Ahead of Johnson Mike Cawood and Brewer went door to door for the fourth position just as the caution would fly on lap 11 for Gary Green. As Troy Clark took the green for the restart, the Johnson assault towards the front would continue. Johnson moved past Brewer for fourth, and then Tim Clark for third all in one straightaway. With seven laps to go, you could throw a blanket over the top five. The field would be slowed, however, for a caution involving Tom Ault in turn four on lap 14. When the green flew once again, Johnson would go side by side with Ruddick. Those two would then challenge Troy Clark for the lead, making it a three way dance for the point. Johnson would emerge as the leader out of that battle. Disaster would strike on lap 17, as the red flag would have to be thrown due to a hard crash involving Ruddick, Troy Clark, and Cawood. With just three laps to go, Johnson would take the green flag and move to his rim riding position at the top of the track. Tim Clark, however, had something on the bottom and would get around Johnson for the lead with two to go. Clark motored on to victory ahead of Johnson, Howe, Chris Deweese, and Jay Deckard rounded out the top five.

Steve Godsey of Bedford, IN claimed his second straight Bomber feature win, leading from flag to flag in the process.

Godsey would lead the field to the green flag, with Clifton Barron moving around Darrell Burton for the second spot. With one lap complete, the yellow would fly for Travis Prince in turn two. When racing resumed, Bub Cummings would get around Burton for the third position, and would look to the outside of Barron. Cummings would use the high groove to get around Barron for the runner up spot. Godsey was building a comfortable lead over the field as the caution flew on lap 13 for Doug Klyn who had spun in turn four. Godsey would have the leisure of a lapped car between he and Cummings on the restart. The lapped car would move up and out of the way, allowing Cummings free reign on Godsey. A change in the top five was made on lap 15, as Paul Owens moved around Bill Wilson for the fifth position. Wilson would retire from the race just a lap later. A caution would slow the field on lap 17 for Rick Gess. The restart would be called back due to a Jacoby Hines spin in turn two. Once the green flew for the final restart, it was all smooth sailing for Godsey, as he would take the win followed by Cummings, Barron, Burton, and Owens rounded out the top five.
