Thomas Goes Flag-to-Flag in USAC Feature...
Ruble, S. Bradley and Oneal Visit Victory Lane

Kevin Thomas Jr.May 21, 2016 - Kevin Thomas, Jr. and the 4J Motorsports team found USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship victory lane Saturday night at Brownstown Speedway, leading wire-to-wire in a caution-free affair at the series' first visit to the quarter-mile dirt oval since 2011.

From the drop of the green flag, Thomas was a rocket ship on the cushion as the Cullman, Alabama driver rode the topside like a rail.

Thomas earned his first series victory in 15 months, defeating Brady Bacon, Dave Darland, Thomas Meseraull, C.J. Leary, Brady Short, Robert Ballou, Aaron Farney, Tyler Courtney and Kyle Cummins.

During time trials, seventeen drivers broke the previous track record of 13.407 seconds. Dave Darland was the first driver go under 13 seconds at 12.994 seconds. A new non-wing sprint track record would be set by the final qualifier of the evening as C.J. Leary would be the second driver to break the 13 second mark, clocking in at 12.899 seconds for the new track record.

The RaceSaver Winged Sprints were on hand for the first time ever at Brownstown with Kendall Ruble of Vincennes, IN getting the victory. Ruble was followed by Ethan Barrow, Ethan Fleetwood, Dakota Jackson, and Luke Bland.

Thirty-eight MMSA Mini Sprints competed for the second time this season at the track with Scott Bradley making a last lap pass on Andy Bradley to get the victory. Brad Strunk, Danny Fitzgerald, and Lynn Ambrose rounded out the top five.

The P3 Graphix Indiana Pro Late Models also competed Saturday night. Hudson Oneal continued his winning ways, getting the victory over Marty Oneal, Justin Shaw, Raymond Humphrey, and Tyler Cain.

Kent Robinson is Battle of the Bluegrass Winner...
Gilpin, Eddleman, Clark & Mayer Also Winners

K RobApril 23, 2016 - Thirty-six Battle of the Bluegrass Ultimate Super Late Models would invade the "Hoosier" state for the first time in 2016. Three "Hoosier" drivers Kent Robinson(Bloomington, In), Devin Gilpin(Columbus, In) & Greg Johnson(Bedford, In) would wage a fierce battle during the main event.

After the trio swapped leads throughout the event, Kent Robinson would be victorious on a last lap pass of Johnson to take home the win & the $3000 top prize. Gilpin would also get Johnson for second at the checkers as Johnson faded to third. Dustin Linville(Lancaster, Ky) and Michael Chilton(Salvisa, Ky) completed the top five.

Jason Jameson(Lawrenceburg, In) was quickest in time trials posting a new track record for the Super Late Models of 13.002 seconds on his second qualifying lap.

Devin Gilpin(Columbus, In) pulling double duty for the evening followed up his 2nd place Super Late Model finish with a victory in UMP Modifieds.

Tim Eddleman (Taylorsville, In) in "Woolston Automotive" Super Stock action picked up his first ever Brownstown Speedway Super Stock feature win.

Troy Clark(North Vernon, In) would get the feature win in "Staff Management" Pure Stocks.

The "Pewter Hall" Hornet division feature winner was John Mayer, Jr.(Edinburgh, In), his first of the year.

E-Z Lift to be Title Sponsor for Brownstown Super Late Models.
E-Z Lift Super Late Model Points Racing Begins Saturday Night

EZ LiftApril 21, 2016 - Promoter Jim Price would like to announce that E-Z Lift by MLR Fabricating has agreed to be the title sponsor of the 2016 Super Late Model division at Brownstown Speedway. MLR Fabricating and owner Larry Hartwell, based out of North Vernon, Indiana manufacturers of E-Z Lift pit lifts have been long time racers and supporters of Brownstown Speedway. The Speedway is excited to have E-Z Lift as the Super Late Model title sponsor.

The "E-Z Lift" Super Late Models will begin their 2016 points season Saturday night April 23rd, racing for $3000 to win in the return of the "Battle of the Bluegrass" series to the Speedway. Promoter Jim Price would like to announce that the "E-Z Lift" Super Late Model total point fund will be worth $15,465 in cash and products for the top ten in the 2016 point's championship.

With sponsorship from E-Z Lift by MLR Fabricating, VP Racing Fuels, Print Worx, Willy's Carb and Dyno Service, Landrum Springs and Simpson Race Products; the 2016 Super Late Model points champion will receive $10,000 in cash and products, second place will receive $2500 in cash and products and third place will receive $1500 in cash and products. The entire top ten in the "E-Z Lift" Super Late Model points will receive point fund money and awards at the season ending banquet.

and Danny Fitzgerald are Fan Appreciation Night Winners

Hudson OnealApril 16, 2016 - Nearly 130 cars packed the pits again for the second consecutive race and a good crowd was also on hand for "Fan Appreciation" night at the Speedway. For the second P3 Graphix ILMS Pro Late Model race of the season, an Oneal was again victorious.

This time, however, it was Martinsville, Indiana's Hudson Oneal. Hudson cruised to the victory ahead of previous race winner and uncle Marty Oneal. Matt Boknecht, Remington Gill, and Matt Bex completed the top five.

Due to a strong show of support from the thirty ILMS Pro Late Models on hand Saturday night, promoter Jim Price surprised the competitors by increasing the normal $800 to win feature payout to $1000 to win with an increased purse throughout the field.

Derek Groomer (Bloomington, IN) parked his UMP Modified in victory lane for the second time this season.

Jamey Wilson (Seymour, IN) would get his first Woolston Automotive Super Stock feature win of the year.

Jim Ruddick (Seymour, IN) in Staff Management Pure Stocks would get win number one for the season.

The MMSA Mini Sprints were on hand for the first time this season and Danny Fitzgerald was declared the winner after what appeared to be feature winner Rod Henning failed post-race technical inspection.

Marty OnealApril 2, 2016 - The P3 Graphix Indiana Late Model Series Pro Late Models and Brownstown Speedway opened the season Saturday night with the first championship points racing event of 2016. One hundred and thirty (130) entries filled the pit area for the evening.

Marty Oneal (Spencer, IN) captured the first P3 Graphix ILMS Pro Late Model feature for 2016. Oneal was followed by Britan Godsey, Steve Barnett, Steve Godsey and Edgar Godsey.

Victor Lee (Danville, KY) got the feture win in the UMP Modified division.

Jason Hehman (Brownstown, IN) would get the first Woolston Automotive Super Stock feature of the year.

Dalton Fleenor (Little York, IN) raced his way to a Staff Management Pure Stock feature win, his first ever feature win at Brownstown Speedway.

Wesley Napier (New Washington, IN) took home the first Pewter Hall Hornet division feature win for the year.

Sponsor Rookie of the Year Award for 2016

March 30, 2016 - Schaefer PhotosBrownstown Speedway drivers will once again have the opportunity to compete for Rookie of the Year titles, thanks to Schaefer Photos & Custom Tees. Mark and Jaime with Schaefer Photos & Custom Tees will sponsor the Rookie of the Year awards for the second straight year.

A "Schaefer Photos & Custom Tees Rookie of the Year" title will be awarded in each division that regularly competes at Brownstown Speedway.

Drivers will need to notify track personnel, at the draw window, of their intent to run for Rookie of the Year in their division prior to their second point's race of 2016.

Bryan Clauson Wins "No Way Out 40"
Derek Groomer & Jason Setser Winners

Bryan ClausonMarch 26, 2016 - Brownstown Speedway kicked off the 2016 racing season Saturday night with the running of the 8th "No Way Out 40" for non-wing sprint cars.

Bryan Clauson etched his name in "No Way Out" history by becoming the first repeat winner of this sprint car classic. Clauson had to wage a fierce battle with Robert Ballou & Kyle Cummins to take home the $7500 top spot.

Ballou would hold off Cummins for second, with a charging Dave Darland finishing fourth from his eighteenth starting spot. Jon Stanbrough would round out the top five. Max McGhee set a new non-wing sprint track record of 13.407 seconds during time trials.

Derek Groomer would pick up the first UMP Modified feature of the season in a competitive race with Ryan Thomas (2nd) and Victor Lee (3rd).

Jason Setser got the UMRA King of TQ's feature win. Jason Goff, Matthew Hedrick, Dave Darland, and Johnny Goff would complete the top five.
