Indiana Late Model Series Begins 6th Season as
Bowman Pro Late Models
The Indiana Late Model Series will begin its 6th racing season in 2014 and is pleased to announce that the series will now be known as Bowman Pro Late Models. Long time series supporter Bryan Bowman, owner of Bryan Bowman Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Seymour, Indiana has committed even more support toward the series, prompting the name change to Bowman Pro Late Models.
Bowman Pro Late Models are the same as any full blown Late Model dirt car throughout the country, except for tires and engines. In an effort to keep racing cost lower for drivers and car owners, a Hoosier Racing spec tire and a factory built sealed GM Performance Racing engine is utilized in all cars and are the only tires and engines allowed in the series. Cost savings is not the only benefit realized, as the use of equal tires and engines have produced a highly competitive racing series.
Over the past five racing seasons the series has had five different series champions. Last season, nearly 50 drivers competed in the series. Bowman Pro Late Model drivers are a good mix of veteran and young and upcoming drivers. Past Brownstown Speedway Late Model track champions and Brownstown Speedway Hall of Fame drivers compete in the series along with many other drivers who are track or division champions in other forms of racing.
Bowman Pro Late Models will again call Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana its home track. The series will also travel to Twin Cities Raceway Park, Vernon, Indiana; Scottsburg Fairgrounds, Scottsburg, Indiana and to White Water Valley Motor Speedway in Liberty, Indiana. A complete tentative can be seen on www.indianalatemodelseries.com or www.bowmanprolatemodels.com. Bowman Pro Late Models invites you to come out this year to a track near you and enjoy this highly competitive racing series.
